Field Surgeon (5e Feat)

Field Surgeon

Prerequisites: Expertise in Medicine, +3 Proficiency Bonus
You are so knowledgeable about medicines and the body that you can perform quick surgery on a target during battle.

  • Take an entire round prone to perform surgery on a target; target gains 4d8 HP. If interrupted during the round, the target only gains 1d8 HP but suffers the bleed condition. Only possible if the target has 1 HP or higher. This action can be taken a number of times equal to your proficiency Bonus per short rest.
  • Take an entire round prone to reattach a limb to a target. The target does not gain HP. If interrupted, this procedure immediately fails and the target falls unconscious, and drops to 0 hp. This procedure is only possible if the target has 1 or more HP, and if the limb has been dis-attached for less than a number of minutes (or under conditions of a cold climate) equal to the your intelligence modifier. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your intelligence modifier.
  • At your option, you may forego your attack action on your turn to recover 1d4 HP. This is only possible if you are not suffering from the following conditions: bleed, exhaustion, grappled, charmed(unless ordered too), poisoned, or diseased.
  • An ability requiring 1 round to use gained from this feat fails if you take any damage or would have to make a concentration check, you automatically fail and the ability fails.
