Gods, Godly Realms, and more (Other)

So, what is a god?

A god (or goddess) is a mighty being with divine powers. The term "divine" in D&D is just for divine magic, classes, creatures, etc. for loads of people. This is not true. Divine means related to one or more gods. Now, over the boring stuff, gods usualy have a lot of worshippers and divine powers. Kuo-toa, fish people of the Underdark, often create new gods.

Divine Template

So you want to make a new god or just find out what every god needs? Awesome! First, WHAT is this god? Many gods have humanoid forms, but Bahamut is a good example of a nonhumanoid god. Some gods can polymorph into animals. I will be starting by showing an example: My homebrewed goddess, the silver dragonborn Raali. Now for the 'template'.

Name: [insert god name and surname if existent, then insert title, if any. Raali's name is short and simple, but yours can be more flamboyant if you like]

Type: [is the god humanoid, or a dragon? a beast maybe? what subtype? (elf is a subtype of humanoid for example) Raali is a humanoid (silver dragonborn)]

Alignment: [a chaotic good god acts very differently from a lawful good one. Raali is Neutral]

Domain(s): [check the Player's Handbook for all cleric domains. for Raali we choose Nature and Knowledge]

Godly Realms

Every god has a godly realm, whether it's a room, a house, or a whole castle. Sometimes gods share their godly realms with other gods (think of Valhalla and the palace of Zeus from mythology).

Think of the realm as a demiplane the god controls.

More coming soon!
