Numerology Stone; squared (5e Equipment)

This square stone can exponentially modify the destructive or healing abilities of allies or completely minimalize the defenses and strengths of an enemy. A creature can only attune to so many numerology stones equal to their bonus of their highest ability score.

This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Do I even need to explain why this is too powerful, even as a 1/day artifact? A single dagger attack goes from dealing 7 average damage to 49, and I don't even want to think about the upper limits (49284 damage, anyone?). You can help D&D Wiki by better balancing the mechanics of this page. When the mechanics have been changed so that this template is no longer applicable please remove this template. Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement)

When a creature deals damage or restores another creature's hit points while attuned to this stone, they may square the damage or healing of the effect as a bonus action, square root the damage or healing another creature they can see receives as a reaction.

This can be used once, regaining use at noon.
