Wondrous item, common

While you are wearing these hooded robes, your physical features including your gender, your height, build, & weight (beyond your size category) and your race (beyond your basic anatomy & configuration) are impossible to determine unless a creature who can see you uses magical means or uses the search action to successfully make a DC 15 Wisdom (Perception) check. To the consternation of many mages and scholars, the robes do not seem to actually be enchanted or possess any magical properties and it is not clear how they work so effectively.
