Description

A western shotgun is used by pulling the pump towards the handle, which cycles the drum, and primes the gun. The revolving shotgun has a chamber which allows it to fire 6 times as a standard action without reloading. The revolving shotgun fires in a cone 25 ft long by 10 ft wide; damage applies to all targets not obscured in that cone. Reloading a shotgun takes 12 shotgun shells, is a full-round action, and provokes attacks of opportunity.

If a revolving shotgun is fired at a target beyond 25 ft, not only do the default penalties apply, but the damage is reduced to 1d6 due to the distance reducing the number of hits.

Normally, operating a revolving shotgun requires two hands; However, you can shoot, but not prime, a revolving shotgun with one hand at a –4 penalty on attack rolls. When firing a revolving shotgun with one hand, a move action must be taken to prime it before use. You can shoot a rifle with each hand, but you take a penalty on attack rolls as if attacking with two one-handed weapons. This penalty is cumulative with the penalty for one-handed firing.
