Talk:Ring of the Living Wall (5e Equipment)
Magic items do not have a "per long rest" recharge rate (which is wrong in the first place). The appropriate recharge for this magic item would be "The ring can't be used this way again until the next dawn". Also, why does getting in the way of a melee attacker move them backwards? - I was unaware of the absence of a recharge rate on magic items; my DM had me write it that way specifically, but that will be resolved and I will restore your wording to this aspect of the item. The idea of moving a melee attacker backwards came from the original idea of the ring - you immediately appear a few feet in the air in front of the targeted creature and drop down onto the ground, sending a small shockwave out related to the sudden displacement of air. Initially, the knockback was only 5 feet as well, don't know why I changed it to ten. I've ultimately retconned all of that though, seeing as it's mostly for flavor, and having the enemy get moved back makes no sense when intercepting an attack. Ultimately, everything you rewrote is staying in. Thank you for your assistance. --Spinosail (talk) 17:28, 4 January 2017 (MST)
