Wired Weapon (5e Equipment)

This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: This seems more like a common magic item in the same way that Adamantine weapons or Wired Shuriken (5e Equipment) are uncommon magic items. If you really care about it not being magical, you could add it to Weapon Modifications (5e Variant Rule), but as it is this does not stand up as a stand-alone weapon.

A wired weapon appears like a normal weapon at first glance, however, it comes with a surprise. When swung, the weapon can detatch into a longer, whip-like weapon, held together only by several thick metal chains. This gives the weapon an extra 10 feet of range, but no other special properties.
